BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's tennis team fell to Wheaton College, 5-2, in College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin play Friday afternoon, Oct. 10, at Evergreen Racquet Club.

After the Thunder (7-2, 4-2 CCIW) swept the doubles slate, the Titans (6-4, 2-4 CCIW) fell behind 5-0 after Wheaton racked up wins at No. 1, No. 3, No. 4 and No. 6 singles to claim the match. Freshman Elana Religioso (Mahomet, Ill.-Mahomet) picked up a comeback victory over Sophie Dew at five singles, 2-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-8). Sophomore Gabi Lipske (Gurnee, Ill.-Mundelein) concluded the match with a 7-5, 7-5 win at No. 2 singles over Tatum Thurstone.

The Green and White hits the road for a conference showdown, Saturday, Oct. 11, at North Park University. First serve is scheduled for 11:30 a.m.
