BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - A pair of wins has the Illinois Wesleyan University men's basketball team ranked in the week one D3hoops.com Top-25 released Monday evening, Nov. 27. Illinois Wesleyan is the lone College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin team in the rankings, while two others are receiving votes.

The Titans blew past the Bears of Washington University in St. Louis last Wednesday, Nov. 22, in convincing fashion. IWU defeated the then-No. 22 WashU, 76-50. Illinois Wesleyan then went on to hold off the University of Chicago, 75-69, Nov. 25.

In all, five schools received first place votes, with UW-Whitewater leading the poll. The Warhawks, who notched 13 first-place nods, jumped up one spot into No. 1 with 607 points. Hampden-Sydney, who garnered eight first-place votes, is second with 570 points. John Carroll (568), Mount Union (529), and Calvin (522) round out the top-five.

The Green and White returns to action on the road Wednesday, Nov. 29, for a CCIW clash at Elmhurst University. The Bluejays, who are receiving votes in the poll, will host the Titans for a 7 p.m. tipoff.
