Leritz Reels in Second CCIW Player of the Week Honor of the Season

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Senior Matthew Leritz (St. Louis, Mo.-St. Louis University HS) garnered his second College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Player of the Week accolade of the season Monday, Jan. 17. Leritz, who received the weekly award for the third time in his career, previously earned the honor Nov. 22.

Leritz put together an exceptional week to help a short-handed Illinois Wesleyan squad improve to 11-2 overall and 4-1 in the CCIW. He averaged 23 points per game, while also grabbing 8.0 rebounds per contest and adding two assists per game. Leritz shot an impressive 60 percent from the floor, and also went 6-for-10 from beyond the arc over the two-game span. Led by Leritz, the Titans outscored the opposition in the paint 68-46.

Illinois Wesleyan takes on Elmhurst in a Monday afternoon game, Jan. 17, with tipoff at 2 p.m.
