BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University men's soccer team is headed to Naperville, Ill. to take on North Central College for its College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin opener Saturday, Sept. 26, at 2 p.m. The match will follow the IWU women's soccer team's contest with the Cardinals.

The Titans are coming into conference play on a four-game win streak, each being shutouts. IWU secured a 3-0 win over Blackburn College Wednesday, Sept. 16 and a 4-0 Senior Day win over Monmouth College in last week's competition. With three goals over two games, senior Faheem Mujahid (Saint Robert, Mo.-Waynesville) found himself to be the CCIW Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career, Sept. 22. The Titans are tied second in the CCIW in scoring average (2.00) and have held its opponents to just 0.33 scoring average, the lowest in the CCIW. 

The Cardinals lead the all-time series over the Titans 21-15-6. IWU has an away record against North Central 7-5-3. NCC comes into Saturday 1-2 in its last three contests. Last week, the United Soccer Coaches Poll ranked the Cardinals No. 21 in the nation. However, back-to-back shutout losses to then unranked Calvin University and Kalamazoo College dropped NCC out of the poll. North Central finished the week with a 1-0 win over Albion College.
