BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University men's soccer team (8-2-3, 4-1-2 CCIW) will host Wheaton College (5-8-3, 3-2-2 CCIW) for its regular season finale at Neis Field Saturday, Oct. 24 at 3:30 p.m. The Titans clinched a spot in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Tournament after Wednesday night's 1-nil win over Carthage College.

Illinois Wesleyan has secured a spot in the postseason for the fourth straight season, and eighth under head coach Kyle Schauls. The Titans enter the weekend off a win in Kenosha, Wis., on Oct. 21 that saw freshman Declan Schuler (Peoria, Ill.-Peoria Notre Dame) score the game-winner in the second half at Carthage.

For the season, the Green and White continue to hold opponents to the lowest scoring average in the conference at 0.46, good for eighth in the nation. IWU stands with ten shutouts with a 0.769 shutout percentage, ranking the Titans second across Division III. Senior Owen Boukalik (Northville, Mich.-Northville) remains in the top-10 nationally for goals against average (0.441) and top-20 for shutouts (7). Schuler has found himself to be a significant game changer for the Titans' offense, ranking second in the CCIW in game-winning goals (4), good for eighth across Division III.

Going into Saturday's game against the Thunder, Wheaton holds the all-time lead over Illinois Wesleyan 33-6-1. The Titans, who are 5-1 at Neis Field, have a 3-19 record against WC with their last win at Neis being in 2018. In the CCIW standings, Wheaton is fourth with a 3-2-2 record, while IWU holds third. The Thunder most recently faced North Central College, where Wheaton fell 4-2 to the Cardinals.

The Titans are set to kickoff at 3:30 p.m. following the conclusion of the women's match. Live coverage of the event can be accessed here.
