Take Back the Night Challenge on Tap for Men’s Golf

Two-day event set for April 24-25

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Eleven Titans will represent the fourth-ranked Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf team at the Take Back the Night Challenge Friday-Saturday, April 25-26, at the two-day event hosted by Millikin University. IWU will have two teams along with one individual competing in the tournament, which is set to be played at Red Tail Run and South Side Country Club.

Illinois Wesleyan will have 11 players in the 112 field, as the Green and White are set to see an 'A' and 'B' team compete in the tournament. Also partaking in the 36-hole event is Adrian, Calvin, Carthage, Hanover, Hope, Illinois College, Lake Forest, Millikin, Mississippi College for Women, North Central, North Park, Spalding, St. Mary's of the Woods, Wabash, Wheaton, and UW-Eau Claire.

Illinois Wesleyan's 'A' team will be seniors Griffin Pohl (Western Springs, Ill.-Lyons Township) and Quinn Clifford (Chicago, Ill.-Brother Rice) alongside the junior trio of Michael Spitzer (Hinsdale, Ill.-Hinsdale Central), Juney Bai (Mokena, Ill.-Lincoln-Way Central), and Aidan Healy (New Lenox, Ill.-Lincoln-Way West). Freshmen Pablo Castro (Palatine, Ill.-Palatine) and Michael O'Keefe (Chicago, Ill.-Mount Carmel) as well as juniors Myles Lahart (Park Ridge, Ill.-Maine South), Nate Bibbey (Oak Park, Ill.-Oak Park River Forest), and Josh Pehl (Sugar Grove, Ill.-Kaneland) will play as IWU's 'B' team. Freshman Lane Ludwig (Effingham, Ill.-St. Anthony) will play as an individual. 

Action is slated to kickoff Friday, April 25, with a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start, while the second round will see a 9 a.m. shotgun Saturday, April 26.
