BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – A week removed from the 2024 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field National Championships, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's track and field teams are in Myrtle Beach, S.C. for three days of competition, March 14-16, at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational. The meet is hosted by the City of Myrtle Beach at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium which will serve as the host site of this year's outdoor national championship.

Twenty-three Titans are slated to compete across 20 events in Myrtle Beach over the weekend. IWU action will kick off on Thursday, March 14 with junior Caitlin McCane (Bloomington, Ill.-Tri-Valley) and sophomore Adriana Crabtree (Normal, Ill.-University High) set to compete in the women's javelin throw at 1 p.m. ET. 

Sophomore Jahari Scott (Lake Bluff, Ill.-Lake Forest) and freshman Carson Green (Centralia, Ill.-Centralia) will open Friday's competition in the men's long jump at 10:30 a.m. ET while sophomore Brooke Nazos (Batavia, Ill.-Batavia) will be the first Titan on the track in the women's mile at 11:30 a.m. ET.

Senior Josh Klein (Glen Carbon, Ill.-Edwardsville), who is set to compete in three events over the weekend, will get the Green and White's field events going on Saturday in the men's discus throw at 9:30 a.m. ET. Sophomore Abby Quinn (Chicago, Ill.-Marist) will take the track first on Saturday in the women's 3,000-meter run at 10 a.m. ET.

The Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational will have 44 participating teams coming from 13 different states in addition to Washington D.C. and Ottawa, Canada. Illinois Wesleyan is the only Illinois school set to compete.
