NORMAN, Okla. - The Golf Coaches Association of America announced that the Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf team received All-Academic status from the organization Monday, July 25, for the program's academic success throughout the 2021-22 academic year.

The Titans were one of just two College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin teams to receive recognition, while a total of 28 Division III programs were honored. Carleton boasted the top grade point average in Division III with a 3.71 to earn Academic National Champion status. Eight other schools garnered Presidential Special Recognition for GPAs above a 3.5, with IWU and 19 others earning All-Academic status for grade point averages between 3.0 and 3.49. Harvard (NCAA Division I), Newberry (NCAA Division II), Carleton (NCAA Division III), Wayland Baptist (NAIA), Andrew (NJCAA Division I), and Abraham Baldwin (NJCAA Division II) were all named 2021-22 Academic National Champions for finishing with the top GPA in their respective divisions.

Illinois Wesleyan placed tied for 12th at the NCAA Division III National Championship this past spring. IWU saw five players named to the CCIW's Dave Wrath Academic All-Conference team, while four were tabbed GCAA All-American Scholar Athletes.
