Men’s Golf Set for Blueboy Invitational

Two-day tournament to be played at The Rail in Springfield, Ill.

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Days removed from a strong showing at the Division III Showcase, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf team returns to action Friday-Saturday, April 15-16, at the Blue Boy Invitational hosted by Illinois College at The Rail Golf Course in Springfield, Ill.

The Titans will have two teams competing in the 16-team tournament. Seniors Jimmy Morton (Sugar Grove, Ill.-Marmion Academy), Will Nummy (Winnetka, Ill.-New Trier), and Carl Christiansen (Naperville, Ill.-Naperville North), along with juniors Bobby Beaubien (Barrington, Ill.-Barrington) and Ethan Wilkins (Sussex, Wis.-Lake Country Lutheran) will make up IWU's 'A' team. Playing on the Titans' 'B' team will be freshmen Griffin Pohl (Western Springs, Ill.-Lyons Township), Quinn Clifford (Chicago, Ill.-Brother Rice), and Raj Sethi (Chandler, Ariz.-Arizona College Prep), sophomore Jack Bruening (Belleville, Ill.-Althoff Catholic), and junior Keegan Adamson (Manteno, Ill.-Bishop McNamara).

Competing alongside Illinois Wesleyan will be Blackburn, Dubuque, Fontbonne, Governor's State, Illinois Central College, Illinois College, Kirkwood, Lewis & Clark, Lincoln College, Monmouth, Knox, and Rend Lake.

The tournament will begin Friday, April 15, with a noon shotgun start. Saturday's round will kickoff with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
