Titan Athletics Honors Student-Athletes with 11th Annual Tommy Awards

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The 11th annual Illinois Wesleyan University "Tommy Awards", sponsored by the IWU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and State Farm Insurance, presented awards to Illinois Wesleyan athletes in an array of categories inside the Shirk Center Monday night, April 11. The winners of the top male and female "Athlete of the Year" awards went to Ellen Gilbert of the women's swimming & diving team and Rob Wuethrich of the men's golf team.

The Illinois Wesleyan women's tennis team won the "Academic Team of the Year" honor for top overall grade-point average.

Best Championship Performance - Mason McCauley (men's swimming & diving)

Best Record-Breaking Performance - Colleen Palczynski (softball)

Breakthrough Athlete of the Year - Faith Washko (women's volleyball)
