PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's swimming and diving teams wrapped up day two of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Championships Friday, Feb. 18. The women's team currently sits second with a total of 473 points, while the men remain in fourth with 312 points after day two of the three-day competition.

Carthage College (577.5) leads on the men's side, with Wheaton College (534) and Augustana (493.5) rounding out the top three. In front of the Titans on the women's side is Augustana (519) in first and Carthage (420) in third.

Senior Ellen Gilbert (Northbrook, Ill.-Glenbrook North), junior Lauren Feddersen (Champaign, Ill.-Centennial), sophomore Lane Wagner (Danville, Ill.-Danville), and freshman Hadley Fudge (Stanford, Ill.-University) earned individual titles after day two of competition.

The relay teams of Mason McCauley (Deerfield, Ill.-Deerfield), Jake Kalenowski (St. Charles, Ill.-St. Charles North), Alex Kula (Pekin, Ill.-Pekin Community), and Wagner on the men's side, and Natalie Wajda (Park Ridge, Ill.-Maine South), Hannah Murray (West Chicago, Ill.-St. Charles East), Megan Wong (Gurnee, Ill.-Warren Township), and Gilbert on the women's team earned first-place finishes in the 800 yard freestyle relay.

After an impressive day one of her CCIW Championship debut, Fudge continued to post impressive results during day two of the competition. The freshman broke another school record during the 100 yard breaststroke preliminary round, touching in a time of 1:05.66. Not to be outdone, the Stanford, Ill. native broke her own record again with a time of 1:04.60, good for a NCAA B-cut, in the A final. Fudge's record-breaking time marked her second CCIW Individual Championship title.

Feddersen also garnered points in the event, as she placed third in the A final with a season-best time of 1:07.32.

Gilbert touched in with a season-best time of 56.40, also good for a NCAA B-cut, during the preliminary 100 yard butterfly. During that final, Gilbert defended her two-year standing title with a time of 56.72, to earn her second CCIW Individual honor and fourth overall in this competition. Sophomore Jackie Rae Kelch (Peoria, Ill.-Notre Dame) also qualified for the A final and finished eighth with a time of 1:00.91.

After posting the top prelim times, Wagner and Feddersen once again swept in the championship 400 IM heats. Wagner swam a career-best time of 4:05.84 to claim his first CCIW Individual title on the men's side. Feddersen also earned her first CCIW Championship title of the meet after swimming a career-best 4:34.45, just 16 one hundredths off the school record of 4:34.29 set in 2002.

Freshman Jade Kaminska (Jablonna, Mazovia, Poland-Maria Knopnicka) and junior Shannon Murphy (Medinah, Ill.-Lake Park) also qualified for the A final. Kaminska followed close behind Feddersen in the race, earning second place in the A final, with a time of 4:39.71, a career-best. Murphy touched in seventh with a career-best time of 4:48.58.

In the 200 yard freestyle Kula and Kalenowski qualified for the A final and produced sixth and seventh-place finishes, respectively. During the A final on the women's side, Wong and Murray swam season-best times earning fourth and fifth-place, respectively.
