BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - For the first time since 2019, an Illinois Wesleyan University women's cross country runner will participate in the NCAA Championship race as sophomore
Annalese Chudy (Libertyville, Ill.-Libertyville) will make IWU history on Saturday, Nov. 19. Chudy's appearance will mark the first time a sophomore will compete individually for the Green and White at the national meet, which is set for 11 a.m. ET at Forest Akers Golf Course in East Lansing, Mich.
After the 6k race is complete, the top 40 finishers will earn All-American honors. The complete list of teams and individuals competing in the championship can be found here.
Chudy, who has been the Titans top finisher in all six events this year, is coming off of an all-region performance at the Midwest Regional race that took place Saturday, Nov. 12. The Libertyville, Ill. native placed 20th out of the field of 207 with a time of 22:40.40.
The sophomore's top-time during the season was at the Augustana Invitational on Oct. 15 as she posted a time of 22:32.00. Additionally, out of six events this year, she has four top-20 finishes, three top-10, two top-five, and one individual win at the Titan Opener on Sept. 1.
