BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Senior Maureen McGrath (Inverness, Ill.-St. Viator) of the Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer team was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District 7 team Thursday, June 3. She will advance to the Academic All-American ballot.

McGrath, who graduated with a degree in biology last month, boasted a 3.93 grade point average. The stout defender played in 59 matches for the Titans, making 51 starts, while fueling IWU to 28 shutouts. She scored two goals, one of which served as a game-winner against UW-Oshkosh Sept. 22, 2019, and added an assist.

McGrath led Illinois Wesleyan to a 48-16-2 record over four seasons, two College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Tournament Championships, and three NCAA tournament berths.

CoSIDA's Academic All-America teams will be announced later this month.
