Bowling Bested by NCC and Augustana at Stardust Bowl

ADDISON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University bowling team fell short to North Central College and Augustana University at the Stardust Bowl Saturday, Feb. 27. 

IWU fell to NCC by scores of 602-531 and 657-536 in standard and baker match formats, respectively. While Augustana out scored the Titans 743-516 in the standard match and 777-533 in the baker match.

Sophomore Shea Atkins (Grant Park, Ill.-Bradley-Bourbonnais) led the Titans with a combined total pinfall score of 320 in standard format matches. Atkins bowled a career-best of 170 in game two of standard play against Augustana and a 150 against North Central. Atkins combined total, as well as her 170, are the best by a Titan this season.

Junior Sarah Buchmann (Wilmette, Ill.-New Trier) also recorded a career-high of 110 in a single standard match against North Central. 

The Ttians will prepare for its last regular season invite at the Bowlero in Naperville, Ill., next weekend Saturday, March 6.
