Wheaton Gil Dodds Invitational Complete Results
WARRENVILLE, Ill. -- The Illinois Wesleyan women's team finished sixth and the men's team came in 15th at the 17-team Wheaton Gil Dodds Cross Country Invitational, held at St. James Farm in Warrenville, Ill., on Saturday, Sept. 15.
The IWU women had 194 points and got an 11th place finish from freshman
Jenna Mirande in a time of 22:56 on the 6K course. Senior
Jillian Cole finished 17th with a time of 23:20 and junior
Cecelia Galvan placed 42nd in a run of 24:03.
With five runners finishing in the top 10, Washington U. was the winning team with 24 points and North Central's Dianne Barajas finished first with a time of 22:09.
The Illinois Wesleyan men were without the services of
Matt Wagner and
Jaeden Danko and also had
Max Crowninshield and Kelly Hoffman fail to finish due to heat. IWU scored 400 points and got a team-best 46th place finish from junior
Steven Raybould in a time of 27:10 on the 8K course. Freshman
Nathan Witte had a time of 28:15 and placed 74th and senior
Jon Durr ran the course in 28:44, good for 82nd place.
With six runners finishing in the top 10, Washington U. was the winning team with 19 points with Brad Hodkinson placing first in a time of 25:21.

Illinois Wesleyan teams will run in the Augustana College Brissman-Lundeen Invitational in Rock Island, Ill., on Friday, Sept. 21, beginning at 4:30 p.m.
